assignment for my Western Civilization class. we could write a paper (nay) or we could do an illustration project (yay) with historical relevance. i chose to make army propaganda/recruitment posters based on various great armies in history. this was the one i liked best out of the 3 i did, probably because i spent the most time on it :D
one of my teachers recently told me that i should never draw for fun.
i'm going to have to respectfully disagree there, because it's the fun that drawing and design gives me that motivates me to stay on my passion for it.
SO HERE YOU GO A LITTLE KINGFISHER GIRL DRAWN IN THE NAME OF FUN

master copy study session with a buddy!
a quick one of Leighton's Roman Peasant Girl.
screenie work in progress as requested by said buddy. i start with some random farts of color and then work on the face because that's my favorite part, get frustrated with how Kristen Stewart it's looking, flip it to fix the features, drift to the clothing textures, flip it again to see how close to a human it's looking and work on it some more until i get hungry.
